Hanalei Bay is one of the best beginner surf beaches in the world. The water is warm and inviting for all levels. Learn to surf with the whole family! Each surf lesson is 90 minutes long. All lessons come equipped with a soft top surfboard, leash and rash guard. Mornings are generally better surfing conditions with less of a crowd.
At Surf School, you'll learn basic skills such as paddling, positioning, stand-ups, lineup etiquette and ocean safety all while having fun in the ocean! If you've always wanted to try surfing, this is the place!
Anini Beach is the perfect beach for sunbathing and snorkeling. It's usually less crowded than Poipu or Hanalei, with a ton of ocean life. You’ll love Anini Beach Park with its calm turquoise water, shade trees, picnic tables, pavilions, restrooms, showers and lifeguards.

Waimea Canyon and Koke’e State Park is known as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific and has some of the most photographed vistas on the island. Most of the trip through Koke’e is a driving tour, unless you’re planning to hike within the park. Bring your camera and snacks and enjoy this truly magical place. Koke’e Lodge will take you back in time with snacks, gifts and if you’re lucky you might find yourself there in time to catch a live rendition of Waimanolo Blues on ukulele. On your way back, a side trip through Hanapepe Town is always a good idea. Don’t miss Talk Story, Japanese Grandma’s and the famous Swinging Bridge.
